Privacy Policy

Milkloft is built local-first. This policy covers the Milkloft app and this website. It is short because the honest answer to "what do you do with my data?" is: almost nothing — the app sends us nothing at all.

The app: data we collect

None. The app has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, and no servers of ours. Nothing you log in Milkloft is ever transmitted to us.

Where your app data lives

Everything you log (milk containers, amounts, dates, locations, notes, planner settings) is stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, the app syncs through your private iCloud database, operated by Apple under your Apple Account and Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to that data and no technical means to read it.

Backups and exports

Backup files (JSON) and CSV exports are generated on your device and go only where you send them (Files, iCloud Drive, or the apps you share them with).

Camera

With your permission, the camera is used solely to scan QR labels on your milk bags, on-device. No images are stored or transmitted.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Refunds follow Apple's standard policy.

If you email us

If you contact support@milkloft.com — including through the app's feedback composer — we receive your email address, your message, and the few diagnostic lines the app showed you before sending. We use them only to help you, and delete them on request.

This website

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and languages are read — in aggregate, never to identify you. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off, Google anonymizes IP addresses, and if your browser sends Do Not Track we do not load it at all. No advertising, no other tracking cookies. The site is served by our hosting provider, which processes standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages, like any web host. If you join the waitlist, your email address goes to our form provider, which stores it on our behalf so we can send you the launch announcement. Nothing else is done with it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime at support@milkloft.com.

Health information

The information you log relates to milk expression and storage. It stays on your device and your iCloud, as described above. Milkloft is not a medical device and provides no medical advice.
